All right i haven't posted in a couple of days I've got a lot to talk about. lets start with some Weezy news. you would think that after selling all those records he would finally start to take a break but nope. Say what you want about Weezy but his work ethic is crazy.

Lil Wayne is already talking about The Carter IV but also announced that he's readying a new mixtape.
"Tha Carter IV is nice," he told MTV, "but you need to be looking for Dedication 3. Me and DJ Drama are going back at it. Gangsta Grillz. I'm showcasing my whole clique — the Young Money family. And three months after that, I got 30 more [songs], and we're gonna give them away for free — as I always do — on my Web site."

It's that time of year again folks. We're once again approaching what many may consider the best time of our Hip Hop year--the notorious fourth quarter. With releases from Hip Hop heavyweights such as Jay Z, Kanye West, T.I., and Ludacris, 2008's fourth quarter is slated to bring nothing but gems.

Chicago MC Kanye West and his management have confirmed the release of his fourth LP tentatively titled, "Good Ass Job," while Jay Z has confirmed the long awaited "Blue Print III."

According to recent reports, the Roc-A-Fella allstars are rumored to be planning a December showdown in the same fashion as last years, September brawl between Fif & Kanye.

Jay Z recently released a street single off the "Blue Print III," entitled Jockin' Jay Z. The track, produced by Kanye West, has been in heavy rotation since its debut.

Last night at MTV's 2008 Video Music Awards, Kanye West debuted what is rumored to be the lead single off his forthcoming LP entitled "Love, Lockdown."

The pseudo-rock single, marks a drastic departure for West, as it features no rapping, and is sung using an Auto-Tune. It will be on Itunes available for purchase today, Monday, September 8th.

Other noteable releases this fourth quarter come from hip hop giants 50 Cent and Ludacris.

Fif's "Before I Self Destruct," will be his last album on Interscope Records. According to Fif, he plans on reinventing the wheel this time around.

“[Other rappers] can take what I’ve done for the last five years and do their version of it and be successful with momentum,” the G-Unit head told Rolling Stone. “Meanwhile, I have to reinvent the wheel.”

50 also says he’s tuned out most of the music out now, trying to find a zone of his own.

”I’m not really listening to anyone else’s record. Now I’m in another space where I gotta make what I’m excited about,” he added.

"Theater Of The Mind," will be Ludacris sixth solo effort and may mark the end to the rappers musical career.

In a recent interview with the LA Times, Luda says he isn't planning on doing music much longer and would rather concentrate on his budding acting career.

“I can see a point where acting is my full-time job, really,” he tells the Los Angeles Times.

"Theater Of the Mind" will hit stores on Halloween.

Yonkers rapper, Jadakiss, will also be dropping his forthcoming LP, "Kiss My Ass," this Halloween.

The LP will mark the rappers debut on Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam records and will feature the long awaited Biggie Smalls tribute, "Letter To Big."

With Blueprint III arriving in December, Kanye possibly releasing his 4th album the same month, 50, Luda, and Jadakiss all dropping new material-- hip-hop may be in for an exciting Christmas.

Another Rapper gets G-Checked!!!

According to Nahright.com It seems that Santana’s former manager got a couple of London promoters for 70K a couple of years back and ran off into the sunset like shit was sweet. So I guess these gentlemen got word that Juelz was in the country and saw an opportunity for a get back.

And so the story goes that a large contingent of goons rushed Juelz’ hotel last night on some No Country For Old Men type stuff. Long story short, Young Splashy Splash had to be escorted out of the place by police and checked into a different hotel. The aforementioned chaps eventually tracked him to the new hotel, ran up his new room and took all of those shiny baubles you see him flashing on hood DVD’s.

There’s more to the story, but I can’t even bring myself to put it out there. From what I hear, alot more information, and possibly even some video, should be trickling out of the U.K. over the next couple of days.

But good luck for Juelz - he may get his jewels back. The word on the street is that the people who took the jewels are willing to return them - for a ransom. Damn what happened to S.A.S. an The EuroGang! i thought they were the london goons! stay tuned for more info word is that there is also some video of the incident.

Advice to artists on how to Get Familiar with a DJ

I was asked to give some advice to up and coming artists on how to approach a popular DJ to get him to get involved with your mixtape project. First let me start by saying that you are not the only person who thinks they have the Hot Shit, next level shit, new shit, your shit is better than anything else, etc. Its understandable that you invest a lot of your time, energy & perhaps even money into what you feel could be your career but before you even go that far remember that just because you love basketball doesn't mean you can buy a jersey and a ball and say your a professional basketball player. That being said, A successful DJ gets approached constantly to get involved with aspiring artist projects and why wouldn't they? They are for the most part the gatekeeper to showcasing what you made in your studio to the world and of course you want the world to hear your hard work.

There are different ways of approaching a DJ. One of the methods that I live by and have had success with is that whenever I feel I need something from someone to help my cause I figure out what their cause is and how I can help theirs simultaneously so its a win/win situation. Also remember to start any business you need money and essentially you are a business so when planning on putting a project together take into consideration the cost of marketing and promotions. Now, what is it that the popular DJ who worked hard to get to where he is doing for you by getting involved with your project and exposing you to his fanbase that he built already??? Let's say it together... Marketing & Promotions! Exactly! So think about that when approaching a DJ who you do not have a personal relationship with and you have nothing else to offer him and be realistic. Okay, let's say you just think your Nice and don't really have the money to pay a DJ but your saying to yourself "Man, if this dude just cosigned me I would definitely get to where I need to be". There is possibly a way to get that done and that's all on your approach. Personally I get tons of messages on myspace which basically all say the same thing and as respectful as the messages are the DJ only has so much time to listen to you and after being fooled a million times from clever messages only to hear the worst music the DJ has ever heard Time & time again, it gets restless.

I myself have been swayed many times into going to peoples pages and listening only to once again be disappointed by the hype. My point is create a unique approach to selling yourself. Remember your a business trying to sell the product, You! Why should I listen to you, what is special about you, what can you offer that no one else is Seriously when putting your project together ask yourself these questions and when you have an original answer then you might be onto something....I personally wish I could listen to everyone and help out as much as I can but unfortunately I'm just like you...trying to get it crackin! Hopefully this helps some of you in your quest of building your brand and relationships with not just popular DJs but anybody for that matter. Good luck and may you continue to Get People Familiar!
